The Ecological Engineering Student Society

Description: The Ecological Engineering Student Society (EESS) was founded in 2009 by students of the Ecological Engineering program at Oregon State University. Since then, we have taken over a greenhouse, created an aquaponics system, gained a plot of land for agrivoltaics projects, and hosted numerous field trips and guest speakers. Ecological Engineering is the design of sustainable systems consistent with ecological principles that integrate human activities into the natural environment to the benefit of both. All who are interested in the field are welcome

The Environmental Sciences Club

Description: The Environmental Sciences Club is open to all students that have a passion for the environment. Forest Utilization Society

Description: The aim of this student chapter of the national Forest Products Society is to encourage a spirit of fellowship among forest products students, faculty, and industry personnel, and promote awareness about forest products and forest products issues. Officers include a president, vice-president, secretary/treasurer, and project coordinator. Membership is open to anyone interested in forest products. Natural History Collections Club

Description: The Natural History Collections Club (NHCC) is the first of its kind at OSU, allowing undergrads to engage with the university collections in various activities both on and off campus. Members of the club will gain hands on experience with these collections by working with museum staff on curatorial projects. Members will both experience and witness the incredible biodiversity archived across collections. Such activities broadly include experiences with specimen preservation, public exhibits, field collection and trips to visit other larger museums and collections. Additionally, members will learn about collection-based scientific research and will have the capacity to develop their own and/or assist with ongoing projects in these collections.

Description: Ocean11 is Oregon State University’s marine club comprised of students from all 11 colleges. It provides opportunities for OSU students to grow academically, professionally, socially and experientially with the ocean and coasts.
