Surplus Property, Property Control, Business Services-- whatever you call yourself, we have a growing list that includes contact persons and (if they exist) their web pages. Most are university surplus operations. These sites are arranged by state:
If you have new surplus links or corrections, contact Bil Burton at Bil.Burton@oregonstate.edu. We are also looking at city and county surplus property operations. Please-- if you have a "governmental" surplus (equipment) operation, send your URL and contact information. We have found all the obvious links.
We all have various methods of getting rid of "stuff", some of which are harder to unload than others. Not to imply "junk" though to you it may very well be. This page is meant to hold contacts of persons and companies that take items (more or less) by the truckload. Some buy, some charge, some resell, some recycle.

We see many of the same questions on the listserv, but not always can recall or find the responses; we will put a few of them here. We can also put in numbers where applicable (e.g., "Does your department return funds to owning department?" responses go in several directions.
- Surplus manager "chat". This listservs "restricted" to surplus managers (surplus supervisors, warehouse managers, property managers, property controllers, and recycle coordinators, etc.) for "governmental" (state DAS's, city and county governments, universities, etc.).

- No one is using this yet though it would be a better way to discuss items first posted on the listserv because topics can be threaded. I suggest that topics can be posted on the listserv and if follow up and discussion need that the topic be moved to the forum . It is clogged with ads because it is free and.

Departmental Policy and Forms Library
The purpose of this section is to hold written policies and forms (your or other) surplus department use. Though the forms may have sections that are specifically related to their operation, the forms can be modified or be otherwise inspirational. Right now, we have job descriptions, surplus pick up forms, terms and conditions, stickers ("this item sold, monitor sold separately, etc.) and a couple others.

Links to articles of interest. Send items you find interesting. If you have an article, perhaps you can send it and we will post it or a link to it. There are some details to work out (permission to reprint, et cetera). The more details you provide, the less work is needed do (such as a contact person so I can ask for a link or permission to link.We posted some articles about "on line" selling-- but do no means do we want to exclude other article types. Whatever may be of interest will be put up.
