Sealed Bid Terms and Conditions
- Forms for bidding may be found on our website at http://surplus.oregonstate.edu. Click on “Special Items” in the left menu bar. You can also acquire a form by fax or mail by contacting Business Services at (541) 737-7347.
- All bid forms must reach the OSU Business Services office at 644 SW 13th Street, Corvallis, Oregon 97333 by 3:00 p.m. PST on the closing date.
- OSU reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids and to sell any part or all of the offered property to OSU departments, state and local governments, and nonprofit organizations with a 501C3 (e) status prior to the end of the sale.
- All sealed bids require a 10% security deposit. Acceptable methods of security deposit payments are by check, Visa, or MasterCard. The deposit must reach the Business Services office before the close of the bid. You may call
(541) 737-7347 with your credit card information for the 10% security deposit. OSU reserves the right to retain the 10% security deposit of any successful bidder if said bidder does not comply with the “Terms and Conditions” of the bid process. All deposits will be returned within ten days of the sale end to all unsuccessful bidders.
- OSU must receive full payment within ten working days after OSU has notified the successful bidder.
- OSU accepts cash, personal checks up to $1,000, money orders, cashier’s checks, certified checks, company checks, Visa, or MasterCard.
- Removal of the equipment is the responsibility of the successful bidder and must be completed within ten days of payment or the ownership of said property reverts back to Oregon State University.
- OSU makes no warranty expressed or implied as to the quality, weight, size or description of any of the property or its fitness of any use or purpose. All property is offered for sale “as is, where is, with no guarantee”.
